ShuYu is designed for reading from a private library. In v1, we do not provide an account system, do not operate an online bookstore, and do not upload your book files to our servers.
This app stores on your device your bookshelf, book metadata, reading progress, notes, highlights, tags, reading statistics, reading settings, caches, and import failure logs. This data is primarily used to provide local reading and library management features.
When you configure WebDAV/SMB, OPDS, or Calibre, this app uses the address, port, path, username, and password you provide to connect to the service you specify. Private WebDAV Sync writes book metadata, progress, notes, highlights, tags, statistics, and settings to the WebDAV directory you choose; the book files themselves are not automatically uploaded by the sync feature.
When you purchase Collector Pro, the transaction is processed by the Apple App Store. This app reads the transaction status provided by the App Store and stores a signed transaction summary in the device Keychain to determine, when offline, whether your membership is still valid. We do not store your Apple ID password or payment card information.
Services you configure, such as NAS, OPDS, Calibre, WebDAV, SMB, Baidu Translate, and Youdao Translate, process data under their own policies. Please ensure you trust these services and understand their privacy policies.
You can delete books, connections, caches, notes, or sync configuration within the app. Uninstalling the app typically removes local app data; sync files written to your personal WebDAV/NAS must be deleted by you from the corresponding storage.
